The Dominion Bank of Canada opened July 28, 1871 being the first bank built in Orillia. At the corner of Peter and Mississaga Street. After fire destroyed the original building it was replace in 1920 and in 1956 the Dominion merged with the Toronto bank.

Closed in October of 2001 the current residents are now Compu SOLVE Internet Services and the Academy of Learning. (See both listings in Scenic Orillia. com Business Directory).
